Research interests

My main research focus is on the molecular mechanisms involved in unreduced gamete formation. Polyploidy, a widespread phenomenon in plants, is commonly believed to arise through the production of unreduced gametes that are formed as a consequence of meiotic defects. I am working on the male meiosis mutant jason to elucidate the mechanism of unreduced gamete production in Arabidopsis.
