We welcome students who are interested in plant reproduction, epigenetics and speciation mechanisms.
To apply, please send your CV, list of references and a brief summary of your research interests together with a list of courses taken to Claudia Köhler.
If you are interested in plant reproduction, epigenetic mechanisms, speciation mechanisms, and evolution of reproductive traits you are most welcome to apply by sending your CV to Claudia Köhler.
A postdoctoral position is currently available to investigate epigenetic mechanisms during plant reproduction.
The main focus of the project is to investigate epigenetic mechanisms causing allele-specific gene expression in the endosperm and their impact on reproductive success. The project will involve a combination of molecular genetics and epigenome profiling to investigate how epigenome modifications are established during plant reproduction.
Applicants should have a solid background in molecular biology and genetics; skills and interest in bioinformatics are a strong asset. Candidates with a strong interest in epigenetics are especially encouraged to apply.
The project is funded by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences for initially 2 years with possibility of extension.
Applications, including CV, a description of research experiences, a statement of scientific interests as well as contact information of two to three referees should be submitted by e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for applications is December 5, 2016.
