My research is focused on evolutionary genetics and ecology. I have developed a great interest in studying the processes involved in the formation of new species. The aim of my work was to combine (1) experimental approaches (by life history traits measurements) and (2) molecular analyses (especially gene expression) to understand the biological factors related to adaptation, speciation and to reconstruct the evolutionary history of populations.
